A Mustang is, simply, a ‘Mustang’ It is it’s own cult and symbolises everything that was American in the sixties. Confident. Brash. Strong. Indestructible. It is built like a brick **** house. Big chassis, heavy metal, enormous engine. As American’s say “There ain’t no substitute for cubic inches!”. The car was built to cover vast distances and vast mileages in a vast country. At 55 to 60 mph it is effortless. As for the brakes, well American cars were always known as great ‘goers’ and poor ‘stopper’. Our beast has had the brakes upgraded with front discs and power assistance. It also has power steering, a powered convertible hood and is a right hand drive Automatic. One could say, it is the perfect Mustang. Take him out. Cruise the NSW country roads, the Northern Beaches, Bondi, the Royal National Park. Revel in all that torque and drivability and get used to being stared at, admired and envied by young and old no matter what their nationality.
